Welcome to ETS Trucks Ltd, a family business established in 1994 by Colin and Darren Gale operating from premises in Dawkins Road, Poole.

ETS Trucks quickly built up a reputation for reliable, cost effective, commercial vehicle maintenance and repairs and were soon appointed Service Agents for both Foden and Dennis Vehicles. In our 11th month of trading we acquired the adjoining premises and expanded to form the six bay workshop that we operate from today.

In 1997 the Foden and Dennis marques were dropped in favour of MAN when we were appointed as Service Dealer for MAN covering Dorset and the surrounding area. Following MAN’s purchase of ERF we were appointed MAN-ERF Service Dealers during a period of rationalisation of the MAN-ERF Network.

We remain completely commited to providing full support for operators of all makes of commercial vehicle, including trailers, buses and coaches etc.,

As part of the MAN-ERF Network we can provide a range of services to optimise the cost effectiveness of buying and maintaining a new or used MAN-ERF vehicle. Either by choice of Finance Package,Telematics, Contract Hire, Contract Maintenance or Extended Warranties, whichever is most suitable.

Do you tow a trailer with a van or 4 X 4 for business use ?
If you do you are probably exceeding 3500kg train weight (overall design weight of vehicle and trailer together). By law you are required to use a Tachograph.
It is now possible to fit a Tachograph to any vehicle. The Police and VOSA are aware of this and are issuing large fines if your vehicle is not compliant.
We are offering free fitting on all Tachograph kits purchased from us between now and 31st January 2010.

We are pleased to announce that our new Tachograph Centre opened on the 5th of December 2008. Working in conjunction with Continental Automotive (VDO), who have supplied the equipment and training, we have completed the installation and approval process in record time and are now fully approved to install,calibrate and maintain both Analogue and Digital Tachographs.
LES BUXTON has joined us to run the operation and he can be contacted on a new dedicated phone line 01202 669958. It is, as always, possible to make bookings through our Service Reception on 01202 669339, either DARREN or RYAN will be pleased to deal with your enquiry.
To support this operation our Parts Department now stocks a comprehensive range of Tachograph parts including replacement heads and transmitters and can now offer consumable items such as Tachograph Discs or Paper Rolls for Digital Tachographs at very competitive prices.

The start of 2007 saw a few changes at ETS Trucks as people changed jobs and new staff arrived to fill the gaps.

Chris McDevitt has moved from workshop technician to being our Contracts and Warranty Manager. He takes over from Mike Vincent who retired on 28th February and took a well earned rest by visiting friends and relatives in Australia for a month. He now comes in on a part time basis to assist Chris with the difficult job of making sure all warranty and contract maintenance claims are processed correctly and invoices prepared for work that has to be charged to customers.

About the same time we recruited two experienced technicians in the form of Norman Selby and Julian Trevitt. Both well known, with over 60 years experience between them, they will enable us to continue to deliver first class service to our customers, and we wish them every success with our company.
